Wooburn Singers are delighted to be presenting their first concert with their new musical director, Jonathon Cole-Swinard. They will be joined by soloists Harriet Burns, Siân Griffiths, Dafydd Jones and Matthew Palmer, and London Serenata lead by violinist Malu Lin Swayne.

Mozart: Vesperae Solennes de Confessore
Mozart: Te Deum
Michael Haydn: Requiem

London Serenata and friends take on Mozart and Michael Haydn

London Serenata is expanding, for the first of many concerts to include our string playing friends from the old Garsington Opera Orchestra, including Malu Lin Swayne, Chris Windass, and Rebecca Dinning (violins), and Jane Fenton and Philippa Schofield (cellos). We're also welcoming some new colleagues, Paul Sherman (double bass), and Jean Paterson, Stephen Rouse, Veronique Materasso and Emma Lake (violins), as well as our brass and percussion friends from the Gascoigne Orchestra at Grange Park Opera, Simon Munday, Simon Gabriel, Paul Sharp and Martin Rockall (natural trumpets), and Matthew Rich (timpani). Also featuring our own Damian Brasington (bassoon).

The church has good parking and is close to the main shopping carpark which is free to use in the evenings. It is a few minutes walk from the station for Metropolitan line trains from London and Chiltern Railways from London and Aylesbury.

Amersham town centre has a range of cafes, restaurants and bars for a pre or post concert meal or drink.

  • buy tickets online and pay by credit or debit card. You can print your tickets immediately, if you wish to, though this is not necessary as we will have a list of purchasers on the door.
  • buy tickets online and send a cheque to Ian Faulkner. at 9 Lime Tree Walk, Amersham, HP7 9HY or call 01494 765420 to ask for details for a bank transfer; you will be able to print your tickets, if you wish to, once we tell you that we have received your cheque or transfer
